One of the most uncomfortable things about using a smartphone would be to charge its battery. Battery capacity is limited. But the size of Smartphones is getting bigger. Playing games or watching movies consume a lot of power. Eventually, users have to charge their smartphones frequently.

In the past, removable batteries were widely used, so it was a bit less inconvenient. However, recent smartphones use mostly non-removable batteries for many reasons. So, if you want to use your smartphone for a long time, you would have to charge it continuously.

But as technology evolved, wireless charging has become possible. Of course, to use a wireless charger or wireless charging stand, your smartphone must support wireless charging. Many companies have launched wireless chargers or wireless charging stands or wireless charging pads. And Qsonic, a monitor and PC peripherals company, is also introducing a wireless charging stand for the first time. It is ‘QWC-5000’.

There are two versions of this product, white and black. It is made of plastic. The size is 72mm wide, 147mm high and 11mm thick, similar to the size of most smartphones that support wireless charging. It weighs about 100g.

You can put this product in a vertical position or a horizontal position. If you want to put it in a horizontal position, you can just plug it. There are six silicone pieces on the bottom of the product.

A piece of silicon is attached to the part where the smartphone is placed. This prevents the smartphone from being scratched. There are many holes in the center. These holes are for cooling smartphones. Therefore, it seems more appropriate to put it in a vertical position rather than in a horizontal position.

There is an LED that indicates the state of the smartphone on the right side of the front. When the smartphone is being charged, it shows a blue light. When the smartphone is fully charged, it shows a green light. However, not all version of this product shows a green light, When the smartphone is fully charged.

‘QWC-5000’ supports 5W, 7.5W, 10W. 5V/5W is for the normal charging, and 9V/10W is for the fast charging. Fast charging is at least 1.5 times faster than normal charging. And this product also supports Qi wireless charging. All devices that support Qi wireless charging can be charged.

The minimum interval for wireless charging is 2 to 6 mm. If your smartphone is equipped with a thick case, it may not be charged. The smartphone with a jelly case can be charged. However, if your smartphone is equipped with a thick case or a metal case, it may not work properly.

This product is equipped with smart Integrated Circuit. The smart Integrated Circuit prevents this product from overcharging and overheating. It uses a USB-C port and cable. If you use a cable other than the one that is supplied with the product, you must use a cable that supports at least 2A to allow fast charging.

I tested this product with my smartphone. When I placed my smartphone on the top of the product, it didn’t work, because the charging coils of this product are at the center of the product and at the bottom of the product.

Therefore, if the center axis of the smartphone is placed at the center or the bottom of the charger as shown in the picture above, it works. However, as shown in the picture below, the smartphone won’t be charged if it is placed on the top of the charger.

While using this product, I found one drawback. I couldn’t use the headphone slot which is located at the bottom of my smartphone when I use this product in a vertical position. Because there is no room for the headphone jack in this product.

And there is one thing you should know before purchasing. This wireless charging stand is an auxiliary device that allows wireless charging. You need an additional smartphone adaptor for charging.

The QWC-5000 is a small and inexpensive wireless charging stand and it supports fast charging. If you need a wireless charging stand, this product would be a good choice.
