From a few years ago, South Korea 's air has been getting worse and worse. So now, many people use dust masks and air purifiers.

Many companies have launched air purifiers in South Korea. The display company Qnix launched the air purifier brand 'QUNICARE' and launched its first product 'AIRQ-300'. This product can cover up to 99m². It can be used at home or at the office.

■ simple, neat and convenient

The product looks simple and neat. The size of the product is 40cm in both width and height, and height is 70.7cm. The body is made of eco-friendly material from LG. The power consumption is 85W per hour.

There is a wheel that rotates 360 degrees so it can be moved easily. It weighs 14Kg, but when I pushed this product it moved very well. However, it is regrettable that there is no function to fix the wheel.

The user can control the 'AIRQ-300' through an intuitive touch menu. There are buttons for monitoring the filter, setting time, locking, and a button for shifting mode.

■ 2 purifying filters and NIDEC's BLDC motor

The most important part of the air purifier is the purifying filter. The AIRQ-300 is equipped with very good purifying filters. The purifying filter purifies the air in six steps.

In the first step, the animal hair, human hair, and pollen are filtered. From steps 2 to 4, it filters out harmful gases and bacteria that are harmful to the human body such as odor and ammonia. In steps 5 and 6, it filters out fine dust (micro dust), fungi, and viruses.

Among them, the 'HEPA H13' filter is a filter that passes the toxic substance purification test of Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL). The filter responsible for step1 can be cleaned by the user, and the remaining filters constitute a separate filter. It is a convenient structure for the user to maintain the product and replace the filter.

There is also a function of safety. If the product and the filter are separated, it will not work. Actually, when I tried it, it stopped working even if I opened only the top or side cover of the filter. And the product is stopped if it tilts more than 15 degrees.

Because this product is equipped with two filters, it purifies air faster than other products. This product can remove 99.9% of dust and odor as well as extremely small fine dust (PM 2.5, etc.).

Motors mounted on air purifiers are also important components. The AIRQ-300 is equipped with NIDEC's BLDC motors. NIDEC is a famous Japanese motor manufacturer. BLDC motors are widely used in the laundry machines and hair dryers. The noise emitted by the product is up to 66dB. And this motor improves air circulation by sending a strong wind like a hurricane.

Thanks to these filters and motors, the product can be used in a large area. (up to 99m². If there is no obstacle, up to 165m²). So it is suitable for the home and good for schools or conference rooms, as well.

■ easy to use and able to control through the smartphone app

As technology developed, various functions have been applied to air purifiers. The AIRQ-300 automatically detects ambient air quality and has the ability to operate the product at an appropriate level.

The LED attached to the product indicates the state of the air. Blue means 'Good', green means 'Normal', orange means 'Bad' and red means 'Very bad'. Infrared PM 1.0 sensor of SHINYEI, which is a product of Japanese sensor company, measures the air condition.

In Auto mode, the speed of sucking and circulating air is adjusted automatically according to the quality of the air. When the room becomes dark, it automatically switches to sleep mode. In sleep mode, the RPM of the motor is reduced, and the LED attached to the product is turned off.

There is also a remote controller. Most functions can be controlled with the remote controller. The remote controller works within 8m of the product.

You can also control the product with Smartphone app called 'Smart Life'. If you have a wireless router, you can connect the wireless router with the AIRQ-300 to check the status of AIRQ-300 on your smartphone in real-time and control a lot of functions. When I used this app, it reacted very quickly. There was no difference in operation from the remote control in the room. However, operation through the smartphone app is only possible with 2.4Ghz wifi.

The AIRQ-300, which has excellent filters, motors, safety features is currently sold in South Korea for about 330$. The price of other products which are using the same filter is generally more expensive than this. If you need an air purifier for a large place and want to buy an air purifier at a reasonable price, the AIRQ-300 can be a good choice.
