‘Faker’ Lee Sang-hyeok showed off his great skills at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and led South Korea to the Quarterfinals.

South Korean 'League of Legends' national team won a landslide victory over Kazakhstan in the second match of the group stage held at the Hangzhou Esports Center in China on the 25th and advanced to the Quarterfinals as first place in Group A.

Among the countries participating in the Asian Games 'League of Legends', China, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and India secured seed rights in the official Asian Games pre-competition. These countries will play from the quarterfinals. The remaining 11 countries have been divided into four groups and are playing in the group stage, and the winner of each group will advance to the quarterfinals.

South Korea was placed in Group A along with Hong Kong and Kazakhstan. And South Korea advanced to the Quarterfinals with two consecutive wins in Group A.

‘Faker’ Lee Sang-hyeok, who did not play in the South Korea vs. Hong Kong match, played as a starting player in the South Korea vs. Kazakhstan match. He had a great performance, recording 12 kills in 17 minutes, proving that he is one of the best League of Legends players in the world.

South Korea, which won against Hong Kong in 23 minutes, won against Kazakhstan in 17 minutes.

South Korea will play Saudi Arabia in the Quarterfinals on the 27th. If South Korea reaches the Semifinals, there is a high possibility that it will meet China, another strong team.

e-Sports, including 'League of Legends', has been adopted as official sports for the first time at the Hangzhou Asian Games.
