SMILEGATE is set to unveil its new title "Blue Protocol" this year. Developed jointly by BANDAI NAMCO Online and BANDAI NAMCO Studio, this online game has gained attention by recording over 200,000 simultaneous users in Japan, establishing itself as a hot item. It has been reported that the number of users exceeded one million, following the release of the console version in December last year.

The game was initially scheduled to begin its service in Korea in 2023. Tests were conducted for a verification of the localization content. Subsequently, SMILEGATE announced the postponement of the release due to user feedback on content shortages and completeness. As SMILEGATE explained, "We have decided to launch the Korean game as an updated version, rather than the Japanese version, and preparations have already begun."

In fact, "Blue Protocol" has continued to have monthly updates in Japan. Much time was initially invested to address the unstable service due to overcrowding. Since then, various types of content have been added, including the main story and a maximum level expansion since October last year. Subsequently, additional dungeons, quests (investigations), and challenge content has been added monthly.

In January this year, various additions such as the Arena and additional raids, which are challenge and endgame content, were added. In February, it is plannedthat Scenario Chapter 5 will be added, as well as an expansion of the Tower of Infinity, raids, and more.

Among these additions, new scenarios have been updated approximately every four months. In April, the expansion of the core content and the opening of new fields are anticipated, along with the introduction of new classes.

With the Japanese service and operation of "Blue Protocol" gaining momentum, the expectations for the Korean service have also been increasing. However, specific launch details and schedules have not yet been introduced. Nevertheless, as large-scale content continues to be released in the Japanese service, it is expected that news will be forthcoming in the near future.
