NHN's CEO Chung Ujin, expressed his determination to drive the gaming business forward. In addition, they are actively implementing shareholder-friendly policies.

During the conference call for the fourth-quarter earnings announcement held on the 14th, NHN's CEO Chung Ujin stated, "We have reduced our annual marketing costs by more than 30% through cost-saving measures. While the profit sector fell short of our expectations, we will continue to control the costs and strive for record profits."

He added, "We have secured 37 billion won for our minimum shareholder returns in 2024. We are planning to carry out the cancellation and acquisition of 1.17 million shares of treasury stock, and for the first time since the company's inception, we will distribute dividends of 500 KRW per share. We will also strengthen our shareholder-friendly policies, so that shareholders can enjoy the company's growth in profits."

Moreover, he mentioned that, "The gaming business has shown good results by presenting differentiated content and leading the growth of web board games, without relying on regulatory environments. The well-performing 'Wooparoo Odyssey' is scheduled to expand its service with a global release in June, and we are anticipating good results in the Japanese market."

He continued, "'Darkest Days' will conduct its first closed beta test in Korea at the end of March to validate its gameplay, and after two closed beta tests, we have scheduled an official launch in the third quarter of this year. Additionally, by signing a publishing contract for 'Stellar Fantasy,' we will enter the subculture market and we plan to launch it in the global market within this year." He also mentioned the company’s plans to unveil several new titles that are currently in internal development.

Finally, he concluded, "This year, NHN aims to achieve its highest-ever operating profit and will continue to implement its profitability-centered solid management principles."
