MONGIL: STAR DIVE UNVEILS NEW TRAILER FEATURING KOREAN MYTH-INFUSED REGION “SURA” AT G-STAR 2025

Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, revealed a new trailer and the debut of “Sura,” a Korean-inspired region, for MONGIL: STAR DIVE at G-STAR 2025.

Sura is a new region in the game where the story continues after the journey of the 9th Brigade, featuring Esther, Flare, and Reina. Centered around the village of Naksan, this region depicts a world where humans, dokkaebi, and various demi-human races coexist. It also marks the beginning of the fan-favorite character Mina’s new storyline.

The newly revealed trailer showcases Naksan and its characters for the first time, highlighting Korea’s cultural essence through traditional architecture, motifs, and vibrant color palettes. Alongside the previously revealed “Sangun” new Korean-themed characters such as “Jiwon” and “Gabi” also make their appearance.

Players will encounter Korean folklore-inspired bosses within Sura, including the Dokkaebi Boss “Duoxini” and “Hahnul,” based on the historic military unit “Tiger Hunter.” Visitors to Netmarble’s booth at G-STAR 2025 can experience these updates firsthand through gameplay demos and live stage programs, including influencer boss-challenge events, developer fireside chats and more.

Through a recent developer commentary video, Netmarble also shared the game’s global CBT findings and improvement roadmap that includes an expanded character narrative overhaul, rebalanced character ascension progression, and more accessible gold and resource acquisition. The team also plans to adjust the difficulty of acquiring Monsterlings, the key capture-and-evolution system, along with improving UI and overall convenience based on player feedback.

Global pre-registration is currently available via the official website, Epic Games Store, Google Play, and the App Store. Players who sign up will receive the popular Francis (4-Star) character, with additional milestone rewards including the exclusive Mollumander Monsterling unlocked as the community grows.

As the sequel to the beloved Monster Taming (2013), MONGIL: STAR DIVE delivers Unreal Engine 5-powered visuals, dynamic tag-team combat, and a unique Monsterling system that allows players to capture, collect, and equip companions in battle.
