Journey of Monarch Launches New Server ‘Valakas’

NCSOFT has launched a new server, Valakas, in its idle MMORPG Journey of Monarch.

The new Valakas server operates independently of all existing servers, with matchmaking for content like Barracks and Arena limited to within the server. All new players joining the game will automatically begin their journey on Valakas, while existing players will not be able to access it.

Players joining Valakas can receive three Mythic Heroes as part of login rewards, in addition to exclusive server benefits such as Hero PickUp Summons, Diamond Roulette, and Passes. Rewards from The Diamond Roulette include up to 8 weeks of Ad Removal Pass benefits.

A new region—Fire Dragon’s Nest—has also been introduced, expanding the maximum stage cap from 95,000 to 125,000. Players can now explore expanded content and acquire additional rewards to further enhance their Monarchs and Heroes. The Fire Dragon’s Nest features bosses with different elemental attributes, including Fire, Earth, and Non-elemental.

Also joining the battlefield is Zebb Requis, a new Mythic-grade Magic Doll. When owned, Zebb Requis enhances all allies’ Element Penetration and increases Attack when deployed. Upon activating the Ultimate Skill, it grants a 10% Element Penetration boost to all allies for 20 seconds.

The update also brings several quality-of-life improvements. The number of Monarch Gear Sets has increased from 8 to 10. Additionally, players can now cancel a Referral 24 hours after registration.
