KRAFTON brought its new title Palworld Mobile to the forefront as they joined G-STAR 2025. They prepared numerous demo stations and themed event booths to capture visitors’ attention. With mobile-optimized gameplay and faithful adaptation of the original’s core content, the game generated significant buzz.
Opening on November 13th at BEXCO in Busan, G-STAR 2025 is Korea’s largest game convention. This year’s event runs for four days, from the 13th to the 16th, with many game companies setting up large booths to showcase new titles and flagship games to visitors and players. KRAFTON drew crowds with Palworld Mobile and PUBG: Battlegrounds booths.
Palworld Mobile is a mobile adaptation of Palworld, developed by the Japanese studio Pocketpair. KRAFTON is handling development for the mobile version, inheriting the original’s core content that quickly dominated the global market upon the launch while adding new playstyles, mechanics, and fun elements for optimized mobile play. Above all, the team focused on adding a combat-centered content for players to enjoy.
With the game’s alpha test scheduled in December, KRAFTON unveiled Palworld Mobile for the first time on-site at G-STAR 2025. Many players lined up on the very first day to try the demo, took part in various booth events, experienced the world of Palworld, and shared their impressions of the game.
The demo showcased the early tutorial and core content. As with the original Palworld, players can start the game after a simple character customization. The demo allowed players to have a general idea of the overall gameplay by experiencing Pal capture, construction, and crafting systems.
Even in its first public appearance, Palworld Mobile demonstrated notable quality and optimization. Field exploration and battles with Pals proceeded smoothly, all in high-quality graphics. With the core systems—Pals and crafting—faithfully carried over, the game felt familiar. Barriers were lowered for new players, and guidelines were prepared to make the mobile adaptation accessible.
A key focus in mobile adaptation of the original was improved convenience. Collecting resources has been automated, and the combat system includes support features to assist with capturing and ranged combat. In particular, ranged attacks—which can be challenging—were improved with aim assist and auto attack options, offering a more comfortable gameplay experience.
One noticeable feature is the capture support system, which prevents an enemy’s HP from going below 1—an approach tailored to mobile players who struggle with fast controls. Players can easily capture pals with Pal Spheres without accidentally killing them. Other convenience improvements were implemented to support players who are new to Palworld or unfamiliar with mobile controls.
While the original introduced a fully open-world experience from the start, Palworld Mobile provides some milestones when it comes to unlocking content. Early dungeons and diverse elements that help grow Pals were added to allow players to progress quickly and access higher-level content.
Due to the demo being short and limited to early-game content, it was difficult to gauge the long-term direction or endgame content. However, multiplayer features such as shared plaza spaces and multiplayer boss raids hinted at the game being a collection-focused RPG with a noticeably different identity from the original Palworld.
With the strengths of the original Palworld and KRAFTON’s reinterpretation elevating the gameplay, Palworld Mobile is expected to reveal more details and content through its first test in December. The developers stated that, starting with G-STAR, they plan to continuously incorporate player feedback to further improve the game quality.
Players who tried the game on-site responded positively. Convenience improvements, strengthened Pal combat system, respect for the original, and the addition of new systems contributed to a positive first impression in terms of mobile optimization. Expectations for the game continue to grow, and players are wondering how Palworld Mobile will evolve and refine its final form.
