T1 secured a 2:0 victory over kt Rolster in the "2025 LCK ROADSHOW in Suwon" match, held as part of KT Rolster's home game, bringing their season total to 6 wins. T1’s consecutive victories have elevated their overall ranking to 3rd place, while building anticipation for their upcoming matches.
On May 4th, the "2025 LCK ROADSHOW in Suwon," a special event of the LCK, took place at the Suwon Convention Center in Gyeonggi Province, organized by Riot Games. In this Round 2 Week 1 match, kt Rolster faced T1 in a thrilling contest, as the two mobile operator rivals competed in a fierce battle.
In Game 1, T1 delivered the dominant performance. A crucial mid-lane fight at around the 10-minute mark gave T1 a decisive victory, allowing them to take the early lead. In particular, T1’s bot-laner, Gumayusi, playing Lucian, secured 4 kills at an early stage to significantly boost his growth.
kt Rolster responded with an aggressive strategy instead of focusing on defensive play, continuously forcing 5v4 battles and managing to trade kills in their attempt to close the gap. They also managed to steal Atakhan and prevented T1 from pulling too far ahead.
However, T1’s strength prevailed. Faker’s Ahri, who grew without dying, and Gumayusi’s Lucian, who ensured that stable damage was delivered through early kills, dominated the mid-to-late game battles, overwhelming kt Rolster. Eventually, Game 1 ended with a victory for T1.
In Game 2, kt Rolster launched a counterattack. At an early stage, they adopted an all-in strategy for the bot-lane, securing multiple kills and continuing to accumulate gold through active combat. T1 focused on the team’s strategies, trying to take control, but it was not an easy fight.
Under KT’s aggressive assault, T1 repeatedly lost players and ceded control of the game. However, thanks to efficient lane management, T1 did not fall too far behind in terms of the total team gold, eventually seizing an opportunity to secure Baron and kills, thus turning the tide in their favor.
The game, in which the lead was exchanged back and forth, came down to a pivotal fight. When T1’s Oner momentarily backed off, kt Rolster attempted to target Baron, but T1’s excellent counterplay quickly caused the opposing team to lose multiple members. In the end, T1 completed the turnaround and closed out the match, winning 2:0.
With their 2:0 victory over kt Rolster, T1 achieved a 6-4 record for the season, rising to 3rd place in the overall league standings. On the other hand, kt Rolster suffered their 7th loss, leaving them with 3 wins and 7 losses, unable to make a breakthrough.
